Having a website developed is a lot more intensive than most clients realise.
During the process you need to be available for any and all questions I might have. I book allocations of time that are suitable for the project you are wanting to develop and will always give you adequate time to collect your content together prior to the time slot starting.
I would love to work with you and achieve the best possible outcome for your website or logo design, however there are certain processes that I do not stray from and I've found it best to advise you of these upfront.
Time Frames:
An information based website is usually allocated a 4 week development period however it can be completed quicker IF I'm aware of that before I quote the project and is dependent on you having all your content and assets ready prior to the project commencing.
An online store is typically allocated a 4-8 week period for development. Again this is dependent on your content being ready for insertion and your product images, descriptions & info supplied well prior to the start of the project.
Your Content
The content for your website is your responsibility. Content is all the text and images we need to build your website. From product descriptions to about your business paragraphs - content is anything that is not design.
I will provide you with files/lists of what you will need to provide prior to our timeline. This content is not only page text, however consists of search descriptions, initial keywords (which we will tweak if need be), images, portfolio content, images and any other files or items we need for your website.
I have reminders in place and will send you little prompts in the lead up to the start date to ensure you have all the content ready to start. Around 10 days prior to the booking I will give you a call and check how you are going. If you do not have more than 70% of your content ready to go a week before we are due to start the project will have to be rescheduled and there will be a $500 re-booking fee.
All written content must be provided to me as a digital document. I do not retype information from a printed file. I can however supply you with a few links to Fiverr people who can do that for you.
Images must be supplied in the appropriate folders (I will share the layout with you) and named well. I also have an info sheet on how to do this.
Meeting You
Almost 80% of my website clients live remote to me, however I will not start a website development without at least talking to you first. Sadly in my industry there are so many scams and competitors trying to tie up my time, this is a step I will not work around. Usually this will also be a video chat so I can actually see your face. I will call you at no cost to you and can do it via Skype or Facebook but it must be a video call.
